Yandama Bangura, PMHNP-BC

My name is Yandama Bangura, and I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 12 years of experience in the nursing field and over 6 years of experience as a nurse practitioner in mental Health. I have a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Temple University; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University; and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania.

I am a dedicated and compassionate psychiatric nurse practitioner with a passion for improving mental health and well-being. With a firm belief in the power of both modern medicine and integrative approaches, I am committed to providing comprehensive and holistic care to my clients. I believe in providing non-judgmental, compassionate, and empathetic care.

My journey in the field of psychiatric nursing began with a deep-rooted desire to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges. Over the years, I have honed my skills, acquired valuable experience, and continually expanded my knowledge to offer the highest quality care possible.

In my practice, I blend evidence-based treatments with a client-centered approach, recognizing that each person’s experience with mental health is unique. I understand the importance of considering not only the biological aspects of mental health but also the psychological, social, and environmental factors that play a crucial role in one’s well-being.

My commitment to integrative approaches means that I explore a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including traditional psychiatric medications as well as holistic wellness interventions. This approach allows me to tailor treatment plans that address the whole person, promoting healing, empowerment, and resilience.
